The reserve is swathed with natural lagoons, rivers and sensational views of the Villarrica Volcano. Vira Vira is part of a working farm and produce from the organic vegetable garden, state-of-the-art cheese factory and freshly-grown produce finds its way to a fantastic menu of Chilean-inspired dishes.
Daily excursions include trekking in the nearby national parks; horseback riding in the cordilleras and scenic helicopter flights over the Villarrica Volcano. Those visiting Chile in the winter have the option for heli-skiing though South America should not be compared with the European Alps or the US for die-hard skiers. Fly fishing can also be arranged as well as mountain biking, and a variety of water sports.
The lodge aims to deliver a feeling of warmth and charm alongside a combination of traditional and contemporary design. Enormous windows in the main lodge allow for light to fill every room and bring the views in.
