The River Resort
The River Resort enjoys a lush setting amongst paddy fields and tropical gardens overlooking the vast expanse of the Mekong River. Just a short stroll from the small riverside settlement of Champasak, this charming hotel is perfect place to enjoy some R&R in Southern Laos, or for exploring the 4000 islands and UNESCO protected Vat Phou.
The River Resort stands out from the crowd with its sleek, contemporary design yet remains extremely eco-friendly using vegetables and rice grown within the grounds. They also employ 90% of their staff from local villages.
Guest rooms are found within two storey villas with wrap around balconies. 22 are perched on the riverfront offering panoramic views, with six sitting behind, overlooking the gardens, paddy fields and ponds. Rooms are modern, light and airy with floor-to-ceiling windows, indoor & open-air showers and contemporary local artwork.
The hotel has two wonderful infinity pools overlooking the Mekong, and an open air riverside restaurant which serves fresh breakfasts, casual lunches and fine dining in the evening. For a special occasion, private dining can also be arranged on the banks of the Mekong.
There are many activities on offer, carefully crafted by friendly staff to make your experience special. These include riverboat cruises, bicycle hire, kayaking, market visits, a traditional Baci ceremony, and relaxing massages in the hotel’s Sala.
