Xanadu Villas
Xanadu is a luxury collection of six individually designed villas nestled on Zanzibar's east coast. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, pristine white sands and the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean, Xanadu makes for the perfect island escape. Villas can either be taken individually or booked exclusively for a large group of family or friends.
The six luxury villas at Xanadu Villas offer either one or two bedrooms, and vary in size and architectural style. Some have secluded rooftop plunge pools, while others display traditional cathedral windows. A blend of natural tones and pops of colour ensure villas are bright and welcoming, and the surrounding tropical gardens ensure guests the utmost privacy. Each villa has its own kitchen, plunge pool, lounge and dining area, and beautiful bathrooms contain double basins as well as an outdoor shower. In fact the rooms are so special, that you may never leave your villa thanks to your private butler or the resident chef who can cook in-villa dishes, made to order.
At the heart of the property you’ll find a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by palm trees, plus a makuti thatched dining area, lit up by lanterns at night. In this charming setting, creative lunch and dinner menus are updated daily, with a focus on fresh local ingredients and plenty of seafood.
Down at the beach, there are more than enough loungers and swinging two-person hammocks, plus kayaks, SUP boards and Xanadu’s own traditional dhow for sunset cruises. There is also a small spa with one air-conditioned treatment room and a circular spa pool. Known as the Spice Islands, the Zanzibar archipelago is rich with history and there is lots of offer for those looking to explore the islands from cultural village visits to spice tours.
