Exuding the essence of Zanzibar’s richness at all levels including the fresh, locally produced ingredients used to make up the daily menus, from freshly squeezed juices at breakfast to freshly caught tuna in the evening.
Each of the twelve rustic palm-front bandas are elegantly simple with en-suite stone bathrooms, separate lounge to relax or arrange a private massage and a beach sala. Rush matting on the floors and wall, thatched roofing and open windows allowing the cool, trade breeze to gently and naturally air condition the room, all contributes towards this simplistic luxury.
The lodge’s main area is as free flowing and open as the bandas with a beautiful stone library, dining area and bar. Dining is often enjoyed on the beach when the heat of the day has subsided, under the stars by candlelight or privately by your banda.
Yours days can be spent enjoying a wide variety of activities on offer including with kayaks and paddle boards which available to use throughout the day. Swimming and snorkelling can be enjoyed directly from the beach or a short boat ride to the house reefs. Scuba Diving is well catered for on the island with 2 dives being included in their nightly rate, as well as the most beautiful, traditional sundowner dhow cruise on the Indian Ocean.
