Located within the bustling streets of Jodphurs’ walled city, RAAS Jodphur stands out with its modern elegant architecture coupled with the characteristic local rose-red sandstone and traditional blue hues that pay homage to the city’s famed architecture.
Each of the 40 rooms and suites are modern in design blended with vintage charm and almost all have views of Mehrangarh Fort.
Whilst being a new building, locally sourced materials and the use of traditional Rajasthani craftsmanship ensure the hotel syncs naturally with it’s historical neighbours. The result is a subtle blend of vintage charm and minimalist luxury.
Two excellent on-site restaurants serve an array of dishes. with a large amount of the menu ingredients coming from the hotel’s own farms. Darikhana offers alfresco rooftop dining on Indian fare with unfettered views of Mehrangarh Fort. Whilst Baradari is a more relaxed environment serving Asian, Mediterranean and Rajasthani specialties on the haveli courtyard or within a white heritage pillared hall.
A small spa is available for guests with a mix of traditional Ayurveda and Tibetan massage using no artificial ingredients, only the highest quality pure essential oils, sustainably sourced vegetable oils and unrefined butters that are cold pressed to preserve their natural goodness and healing properties. In addition, hotels heated swimming pool is the ideal place to relax after a morning of exploring Mehrangarh Fort, the step wheel square, the markets and so much more that Jodphur offers.
The hotel’s location within the old walled city is excellent for exploring Jodhpur’s vibrant markets and historical sites on foot or by tuk tuk. Whilst the hotel offers an area of calm and tranquillity, the old city is vibrant and RAAS Jodphur is very much part of this.
