Set just south of Mount Phousi, Amantaka combines French-colonial elegance fused with timeless temple traditions.
Just 10 minutes by car from Luang Prabang International Airport, Amantaka is walking distance from boutiques, bakeries and restaurants, as well as the Mekong River and the town’s night market.
Amantaka’s 24 elegant and airy colonial Suites, have high wooden ceilings and four-poster beds. Owning a sense of peace, the accommodation is set between the picturesque banks of the Mekong and Khan Rivers.
Boasting three dining venues – The Dining Room, Lounge Bar and Pool Terrace, using time-honoured ingredients and techniques, Amantaka’s menu showcases small dishes of Laotian food that are served together to make up a traditional Lao meal. Locally grown produce features prominently in the cuisine while the Lao barbeque is complete with Niths dancing troupe in traditional costumes.
A place of quiet contemplation, Amantaka’s spa offers treatments ranging from massages and facials to scrubs and wraps, incorporating Southeast Asian techniques with Aman Spa’s own range of organic products. As well as four spa suites, a steam room, sauna and hot and cold plunge pools provide all the necessary space for unwinding and rejuvenating body and soul.
