Etosha Mountain Lodge

Serene yet full of character, the thatched chalets of Etosha Mountain Lodge are perched on a dolomite hill offering panoramic views of the iconic Namibian landscape with an abundance of big game and wildlife.

Etosha Mountain Lodge is in the heart of the 600 square-kilometre Etosha Heights Private Reserve. Elusive mountain zebra, kudu and lion hide in the dolomite hills, and the waterholes attract large numbers of antelope and elephant. The Etosha area is famous for rhino sightings, and the reserve is home to both white and black rhino.

Etosha Mountain Lodge is open all year round and in this part of Africa, rainfall is scarce, even in the green season months.

Etosha Mountain Lodge has seven thatched chalets: six doubles/twins and one family (NB from 15 April 2019, there will be two extra twin chalets).  All have en-suite bathrooms with indoor showers, bathtubs, and large wooden viewing decks with panoramic views of the reserve. There are also electronic safes, tea and coffee stations and ceiling fans in every room.

A thatched ‘Lapa’ area is at the heart of camp and contains a restaurant, bar, reading lounge and an indoor fireplace. There is also an outdoor boma and BBQ area, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Guests can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives on the reserve, searching for the elusive black and white rhino, the icons of the area. Guests can also wrap up warm for a night drive and spot the nocturnal creatures of the reserve. Bush meals and picnics can be arranged with prior notice.
