The Lodge & Golf Course at Cape Kidnappers, known as ‘The Farm’ is set on a 6,000 acre sheep and cattle farm which encompasses land reminiscent of the American West, but plunges 800 feet into the sea. Cape Kidnappers is the sister property to Kauri Cliffs and Matakauri Lodge. The spectacular Tom Doak designed Golf Course is ranked 33rd in the world.

On the exterior, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers resembles a cluster of farm buildings, whilst on the interior guests will find graciously scaled rooms full of natural light and unexpected treasures. Comfort and ease are at a premium with each room taking on a character of its own while harkening back to the rural feeling of the New Zealand sheep station. Spacious cottages, each with breathtaking views, open to large porches overlooking a stunning Pacific panorama.

The Farm at Cape Kidnappers offers two dining rooms and a covered loggia. Other rooms within the lodge include a lounge-living room, library, intimate sitting rooms, and wine cellar.

Accommodation can be found in 22 Suites comprising 12 Lodge/Ridge Suites and 10 Hilltop Suites, along with a Four-bedroom Owner’s Cottage. The rooms are nestled on a ridgeline overlooking the ocean, farm and golf course. Each offer their own private porch, comfortable bedroom with sitting area, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom.

As a Relais & Chateaux property, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers offers a unique dining experience in a luxurious setting. Head Chef Tim Pickering’s modern European cuisine is focused on showcasing local seasonal produce and produce from our own vegetable garden. The daily changing a la carte menu offers clean and fresh flavours. Choose from a variety of dining spaces, including the Dining Room, Loggia, Snug, Wine Cellar and Library.
