Set in a coconut grove leading onto the beach, Habaraduwa House, or HH, is a stylish villa managed by interior designer George Cooper. Fully staffed with a manager, chef, two housekeeping staff and a gardener/pool boy, rest assured that everyone will be well looked after here.
Originally built in 2001, the villa was completely re-designed and renovated in 2011 by George Cooper himself, owner of much-acclaimed Kahanda Kanda. Located on a beach near Weligama not far from Galle on the south coast of Sri Lanka, this impeccably decorated property has four en-suite bedrooms with sea views and two with outdoor showers.
The living room at HH is the hub of the villa, making up the central area complete with beautiful French windows overlooking the pool and garden area. This large and airy living space boasts comfortable sofas for that afternoon siesta and a games room with table football to keep everyone entertained. The villa is a fantastic place for older families, totally self-contained with huge amounts of space.
The staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms have all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The dining pavilion is a covered area with open walls, linked to the living room by a terrace. Here enjoy long candlelight dinners all together, a wonderfully airy place to relax after a day exploring the Sri Lankan coastline.
