Ilala Lodge

Family-run Ilala Lodge is set within beautiful grounds less than ten minutes from spectacular Victoria Falls. The spray from the falls makes for a perfect backdrop for your stay, and the 73 guestrooms and award winning Palm Restaurant are both stylish and affordable.

The 73 guestrooms at Ilala Lodge are split between the original Garden and Pool Wing and the newly constructed Deluxe Wing. All the guestrooms are en suite with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The rooms on the upper floor have their own private balcony, while the ground floor rooms open onto the lush manicured gardens where you can watch the warthogs graze from the hotel lawn.  The teak furnishings in all the rooms are made from local Zimbabwean railway sleepers, enhancing the African ambiance and laid-back atmosphere of the hotel.  There are also six suites, ideal for honeymooners looking for a special treat, or those travelling with children.

The Palm Restaurant at Ilala Lodge Hotel is one of the finest restaurants in Victoria Falls and offers guests a delicious á la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy gourmet al-fresco dining under the starry African skies while listening to the roar of the Falls; they can also enjoy a cocktail by the pool at the Poolside Bar.

Ilala Lodge is within walking distance of the Victoria Falls, as well as the buzz of Victoria Falls town centre. There are a host of activities which can be enjoyed at Victoria Falls from helicopter flips to  tours of the Falls.

You can also relive the historical journey embarked by David Livingstone exploring the mighty Zambezi River aboard the the hotel’s luxury cruise boat, The Ra-Ikane. Named after his instrumental guide, this 16-seater vessel was built to ensure that each guest could experience the beauty of cruising the upper Zambezi River with ease and style. A variety of cruises can be booked, including breakfast, bird-watching, lunch sunset, as well as private charters.
