Karnali Lodge has been pioneering conservation-focused tourism in the region for decades. With only nine signature suites and six traditional rooms, the atmosphere is relaxed and authentic. Bardia’s vast grasslands, riverine forests and sal woodlands support an extraordinary concentration of species, including Bengal tigers, Asian elephants, greater one-horned rhinoceros, sloth bears and over 400 bird species. Safariing in a traditional, open topped Land Rover, sightings are earned rather than staged, with each safari carrying the excitement of genuine exploration.
