Mahongany Springs Lodge

Mahogany Springs is situated in one of the most intimate, secluded, beautiful and most importantly natural settings in the world and only around 2 minutes away from the Gorilla tracking starting point.

All the rooms at Mahogany Springs Lodge are suites and can be configured as twin, double or triple. There is 24/7 power in all rooms, which all have large en-suite bathrooms with a gorgeously designed open terracotta shower.

Each of the 12 luxurious suites has their own private terrace with magnificent panoramic views over the grounds, river and surrounding areas.

The main dining area is exquisitely furnished and with panoramic views beyond the lodge’s own gardens and you will enjoy dining in a tranquil and unrivalled setting. The service provided is excellent and the charming staff are trained to very high standards. Within the main building there is also a stunning bar where guests can enjoy trying one of the many cocktails or a bottle of fine wine. Most of the produce used at Mahogany Springs is grown on site, providing guests with the freshest ingredients and Mahogany Springs caters to all dietary requirements.

Mahogany Springs is the perfect base from which to begin your gorilla tracking or bird watching adventures. The Gorillas have been to known to the visit the lodge, and coming face to face with one of these peaceful creatures is an indescribable experience.

With more bird species per square kilometre than anywhere else in the world, Bwindi is often described as bird watchers paradise and the fact that Mahogany Springs Lodge is set back on an open piece of land by the river ensures they have many rare species visiting every day.
