Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

The terraced garden provides a peaceful and shady retreat in the heat of the day and rooms are split between a restored palace and a slick, contemporary building overlooking the city. The combination of traditional architecture and slick design reflects the style of Buenos Aires and, while this is part of a global chain, the Palacio Duhau feels completely unique.

The hotel has a fantastic wine cellar and prides itself on a carefully thought through menu of Argentine meat from the country’s very best breeders as well as internationally acclaimed cuts of Wagyu, Black Angus, and Aberdeen Angus. Inside, rooms range from The Oak bar, full of old world charm, oak panelling, a wood burning stove, brown leather wingback chairs to rooms that sparkle with chandeliers reflected on marble.

This is one of our favourite hotels in the centre of town and a wonderful base from which to explore this exciting city.
