Paradise Cove
Located at the water's edge on a sheltered cove in northern Mauritius, the Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel and Spa proves to be an absolutely idyllic island retreat, with experiences tailor-made just for couples.
Situated on a man-made cove on a less touristy part of the north coast, at Anse la Raie, the Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is a 67 room boutique hotel. The hotel is nestled in a beautiful 30,000 m2 tropical garden around the beautiful cove in very private and intimate surroundings and offers a spectacular view of the five northern islands.
Designed with romance in mind, the property is scattered with thatched love nests and a winding sandy path through sculpted gardens leads to a lovely cliff-top infinity pool overlooking the Northern Islands. Paradise Cove is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and was voted the Indian Ocean’s Leading Boutique Hotel at the World Travel Awards 2017 (for the fourth year running).
After a sundowner beside the infinity pool, with a view of the northern islands, dining is at one of three lovely sea-facing restaurants. The main restaurant, the Dining Room, is alfresco with a healthy distance between tables on the terrace and lattice work gazebos, like something out of 1,001 nights, which also serves a buffet-style breakfast with international and local options. The Cove offers romantic seafood à la carte – including a you&me seafood platter for two – under thatch beside the water.
Romance and relaxation go hand in hand, with superb views of the ocean from spacious rooms, and a fresh contemporary feel throughout, including love nests right by the water to spend your days in. Indulge in a honeymoon treatment at the luxurious spa, a candlelit dinner for two on the beach or perhaps dine out at one of the four restaurants and then head to one of the two bars for a delightful evening of rum, wine and cocktails.
There is a dive centre in case you feel like exploring the ocean, alternatively, you can just relax by one of the two pools. For that added luxury, stay in a club suite and be granted exclusive access to The Club Lounge with its wonderful afternoon teas and special concierge and room service. The village of Cap Malheureux and the boutiques and night life of Grand Baie are only a short drive away, so you can really experience the best of Mauritian holiday experiences. It is close to cultural attractions at Le Château de Labourdonnais, Pamplemousses Botanical Garden and L’Aventure du Sucre.
