The family friendly Al Waha offers several swimming pools set among date palms while Al Bandar has been designed to reflect a small town with a variety of fine restaurants. Al Husn Resort & Spa is the most exclusive of the three properties boasting a private 100-metre beach in addition to maintaining a policy of only encouraging guests over the age of twelve.
Al Waha is the largest of the three hotels at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, comprising 262 guestrooms, each with either a 5 sqm balcony or patio, featuring a sea view or sea-facing perspective. The architecture of Al Waha is traditional Dhofari, from the southern region of Oman.
Al Bandar provides 198 sea-facing guestrooms and features buildings of varying heights and a variety of ornate balconies. The resort’s focal point, Al Bandar features 7 food and beverage outlets.
Standing majestically on a cliff top overlooking the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Oman, Al Husn, which means “castle” in Arabic, has been designed in the form of a home of an Omani royal. Al Husn is home to 180 rooms and suites, as well as 4 restaurants that offer delicious Arabic and international dishes, and 2 lounges that serve premium evening cocktails. The private and secluded 100-metre beach and infinity pool are reserved for the exclusive use of guests Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa while the Hareer Spa by L’OCCITANE, is on-site along with a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
