The Sarojin
The Sarojin is a stunning beach property designed in a contemporary Asian style on the quiet coastline of the unspoilt Khao Lak, ideally located an hour north of Phuket. The resort is set in lush tropical gardens on a secluded 11km white sandy beach. It borders five spectacular national parks, Phang Nga Bay and the world famous dive sanctuaries of the Similan and Surin Islands marine parks.
There’s a romantic ambience throughout with peaceful lotus ponds and a beautiful central swimming pool where you’ll find over-sized four-poster beds billowing with white fabric. Wooden pathways lead to the beach, spa and guest rooms, which comprise of 56 beautifully designed residences and suites each with a private terrace and Thai Sala.
All the rooms feel calm and private and have huge indoor garden bathrooms with rainfall showers and dinosaur egg-shaped tubs. Many also offer private plunge pools. No children under the age of 10 are allowed, meaning it retains a peaceful atmosphere, even in busy school holidays.
The hotel has two excellent restaurants, one wrapped around an age-old ficus tree and the other on the beach. Romantic private dinners are a highlight, be it candlelit by a shimmering waterfall or a beach BBQ with your feet in the sand.
Sailing, stand up paddle boards, sea kayaks, windsurfers and mountain bikes are available for complimentary use, or the hotel’s ‘Imagineers’ handcraft privately guided adventures from island hopping on board the resort’s ‘Lady Sarojin’ to jungle excursions through the nearby National Parks.
