Linyanti Bush Camp
Linyanti Bush Camp is a small, intimate 12-bedded tented camp located on the banks of the Linyanti marshes in a private reserve which borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park in the Chobe Enclave.
The camp offers light, airy and tastefully furnished rooms under canvas meru-style tents. The tents are spacious and comprise a bedroom and living area with comfortable sofas and foot stools, an elegant en-suite bathroom hidden behind a grass reed blind with flushing toilet and hot and cold running water, and a sitting area at the front where guests can relax and enjoy the views over the Linyanti marshes.
The main lodge area is a large open-sided canvas tent raised on wooden decking, with a dining area, small library, bar, and lounge with comfortable sofas. The deck gives a full view of the Linyanti floodplains and marsh, where large herds of elephant and buffalo move freely. There is also a splash pool and boma that overlook a small waterhole, and elephant and other animals occasionally wander through the camp.
Activities from the camp consist of day and spot lighting night game drives and walking safaris. This safari camps provides the perfect atmosphere for an authentic and wild safari experience, and the area is best known for its large populations of elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers, especially during the dry season. Lion, sable and roan antelope, leopard, and wild dog are a number of the plains game that can be enjoyed at Linyanti, while the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo, and crocodile can be found in the surrounding marshes.
