Lapa Rios Lodge

Lapa Rios Lodge is tucked away within 1000 acres of private tropical lowland rainforest. The Lodge is perched on a cliff edge deep in the Osa Peninsula overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Behind Lapa Rios, spreads a 1000 acre reserve of one of Central America’s last remaining lowland tropical rainforest. The property strives to lead the way for ecotourism and was designed to blend with the surrounding rainforest and to minimize its impact on any natural habitats.

Sixteen stand-alone suites are scattered across three ridges, overlooking the point where the Golfo Dulce meets the wild Pacific Ocean. The room’s private verandas and large windows look out on lush green canopy and turquoise horizons. From here guests are within easy reach of the Corcovado National Park as well as the ocean below.

There are four experienced naturalist guides based at the lodge with boundless knowledge of the area from medicinal properties of the plantlife to marine biology. Walks and adventures with these guides are included in your stay and guests are destined to return from a stay at Lapa Rios with a new wealth of knowledge.
