Tanda Tula Safari Camp
Tanda Tula Safari Camp is located in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, forming part of the Greater Kruger National Park. This East-African camp is unique, being both owner run and one of the few tented bush camps in the area, offering a luxurious yet authentic safari experience.
Set on the banks of the Nlharalumi riverbed, Tanda Tula Safari Camp is shaded by majestic trees and overlooks a watering hole that attracts a great variety of wildlife. Each of the 12 tents is completely private, surrounded by lush riverine bush with a deck overlooking the riverbed. All tents have en-suite bathrooms with a Victorian bathtub and outdoor showers
The main guest area at Tanda Tula overlooks the riverbed and waterhole beyond, where guests can enjoy game viewing from the deck, or take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool. Indoors, there is also an open plan bar and sitting area, with a cosy fire place for chilly winter evenings. Breakfasts are usually served in the bush and in the evenings, dine under the stars in the camp Boma, along the riverbed or in the garden.
Alongside the main safari camp, Tanda Tula offers two other accommodation options: Nkari Homestead is an exclusive-use, farm-style homestead, with two two-bedroom cottages designed with families groups in mind, and the Field Camp is an explorer-style mobile camp with four simple en suite tents, specialising in guided walking safaris, allowing you to be completely immersed in nature..
Tanda Tula is sanctuary to Africa’s Big Five, with traversing over more than 20,000 ha of wilderness and undisturbed biodiversity in the Timbavati. Guests are guaranteed an incredible wildlife experience. Their highly skilled ranger and tracker teams guide guests in the early mornings and evenings, in open Land Rovers or on foot.
