Family
What could be more exciting to a child than stroking a baby elephant, feeding giraffes or learning to surf in Australia or Costa Rica?
On safari children (and adults, of course) can learn how to stalk game across the savannah with Maasai warriors by their side or learn about ancient Aboriginal culture. There is little chance to be bored with opportunities to snorkel, fish, ride horses, camels or even an elephant, to learn how to pole a dugout mekoro or shoot an air rifle at tin cans.
Many camps and lodges have specially designed safaris offering families the opportunity to discover the wonders of the wilderness together (many have spacious rooms or even family tents so younger children can be with their parents). As an alternative there is a wide choice of private houses which are ideal for families and offer a cost effective stay, especially if travelling as two families together. Please visit our Private Houses section to see a hand picked selection.
We can arrange a fantastic family safari for any time of year… be it during the summer holidays, half term, the Easter holidays or even over Christmas and New Year.
Here are some of our favourite lodges that are great for families.
Please get in touch to hear more about our full portfolio so that we can help create the perfect family holiday.
